The 6th Meeting organized by the Erzurum Diplomacy Research Center was held under the theme “Türkiye&Azerbaijan Relations: A New Model for Regional Diplomacy.” The program brought together students and researchers to discuss the regional and international aspects of the strategic partnership between Türkiye and Azerbaijan. As part of the event, certificates were presented to participants who successfully completed the Center’s diplomacy training program.
Field Research and Strategic Model Analysis
The meeting opened with a presentation of the findings obtained from recent field research completed in Azerbaijan. Participants shared their observations and assessments regarding the current state and future development of Türkiye&Azerbaijan relations. Discussions also focused on the legal and political framework of the alliance model established by the Shusha Declaration and its significance for regional diplomacy.
Geopolitical Dynamics and Regional Implications
Another session addressed the political and strategic developments that have taken place across the Turkic World following the Karabakh Victory. Particular attention was given to the changing geopolitical environment extending from Shusha to the Zangezur Corridor and its implications for regional actors. The discussion further examined how these developments are influencing the foreign policy approaches of countries in the South Caucasus.
Economy, Technology, and International Organizations
The meeting also explored economic cooperation between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, with particular emphasis on the role of technological diplomacy in strengthening regional cooperation. In addition, participants evaluated the roles of OIC, OPEC, and NATO in contemporary global politics and security affairs.
The program concluded with a certificate ceremony following a series of academic presentations and discussions.
